The Portage Youth Advisory Committee, in cooperation with the Portage Environmental Board and Park Board, is hosting the 14th annual Green-A-Thon to celebrate Earth Day.  Green-A-Thon 2022 will be partnering for the 2nd year with the Portage Farmers Market to include a small “sneak peek” market! To make this unique event happen Green-A-Thon will be located in front of Portage City Hall on Sunday, May 1. The FREE event will feature activities, handouts, games and more. Dr. Luis M. Campos Associate Professor of Chemistry at Columbia University will present "Organic Materials Design for Next-Generation Energy Systems" will be presented at Dalton Theatre, Light Fine Arts Building on the Kalamazoo College campus at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022 with a reception following at 8 pm.
